Privacy & Cookie Policy

This notice explains how the Startup Curve Taxonomy website collects and processes personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the GDPR).
Last updated: 3 June 2026

1Who we are

The Startup Curve Taxonomy website ("the Website", "we", "us") is the data controller responsible for the personal data described in this notice. We decide why and how your personal data is processed when you visit the Website or leave your email address through our notification pop-up form.

If you have any questions about this policy or about how your data is handled, you can reach us at piroska@aiperse.hu.

2What we collect and why

We keep data collection to a minimum. Below is a summary of each processing activity, the data involved, the purpose, and the legal basis on which we rely.

Website analytics — Google Analytics Consent

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, to understand how visitors use the Website (for example which pages are viewed and how people navigate between them). This helps us improve content and usability. Analytics cookies and any associated tracking are only activated after you give consent through our cookie banner.

Data
Usage data, device and browser information, approximate location, online identifiers, and cookie identifiers.
Purpose
Audience measurement and improving the Website.
Legal basis
Your consent — Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
Processor
Google Ireland Limited. Some data may be transferred to servers operated by Google LLC in the United States.
Consent management — Cookiebot by Usercentrics Legitimate interest

We use Cookiebot by Usercentrics (provided by Usercentrics A/S) as our consent management platform. It displays the cookie banner, records your cookie choices, and ensures that non-essential cookies — such as those used by Google Analytics — only run if and when you allow them. Cookiebot stores a record of your consent so that we can demonstrate compliance and so that you are not asked repeatedly.

Data
Your IP address (in anonymised/truncated form), the date and time of consent, browser and device details, the consent state, and an anonymous consent key.
Purpose
Managing and documenting cookie consent as required by law.
Legal basis
Compliance with a legal obligation and our legitimate interest in documenting consent — Art. 6(1)(c) and 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Processor
Usercentrics A/S.
Email notification pop-up form Consent

While using the Website, every visitor can provide an email address through a pop-up form. The form is intended for those who would like to be notified once all the curves are ready. Leaving your email address is entirely voluntary — the form is the only place where we collect it, and the email address is the only personal detail it asks for. If you do not enter an email address, you will not be added to the notification list and no contact data is stored.

Data
The email address you choose to enter in the pop-up form.
Purpose
Notifying you by email once all the curves are ready.
Legal basis
Your consent — Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
Withdrawal
You can unsubscribe or ask us to delete your address at any time by emailing piroska@aiperse.hu.

3Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device. We use them in two categories:

  • Strictly necessary cookies — required for the Website and the consent banner to function. These do not require consent.
  • Analytics cookies — set by Google Analytics only after you accept them. These help us measure how the Website is used.

You can review, change, or withdraw your cookie preferences at any time through the Cookiebot consent banner, or by clearing cookies in your browser settings. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

4How long we keep your data

  • Analytics data is retained for the period configured in Google Analytics and only in aggregated or pseudonymised form thereafter.
  • Consent records are retained by Cookiebot for as long as needed to demonstrate compliance, typically up to 12 months, after which renewed consent is requested.
  • Email addresses collected through the pop-up form are kept until all the curves are ready and the notifications have been sent, or until you ask us to delete them — whichever comes first.

5International data transfers

Some of our processors (notably Google) may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where this happens, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

6Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Request erasure of your data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Restrict or object to certain processing.
  • Receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting prior lawful processing.
  • Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at piroska@aiperse.hu. We will respond within the timeframes required by law.
